National Tutoring Programme + Seven Springs Education

Seven Springs Education is proud to have been selected as a National Tutoring Programme (NTP) approved Tuition Partner in addition to our provision of School-Led Tutoring. The NTP’s rigorous analysis of our experience with closing attainment gaps, particularly for disadvantaged students, and their checks on our quality, safeguarding and evaluation standards means that schools can feel secure when using our services.

What is the National Tutoring Programme (NTP)

The National Tutoring Programme is part of the government’s Education Recovery programme to support students whose education has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The NTP provides access to high-quality tutoring like ours by subsiding costs, making quality tutoring accessible to all.

Seven Springs Education provides two routes for tutoring.

Via the Tuition Partner route, 70% of the cost of tutoring is subsidised, and schools can match up with a tuition partner like us using the NTP’s dedicated Tuition Hub.

On the School-Led Tutoring route, 75% of the cost of tutoring is subsidised, with schools having more flexibility to decide on how the tutoring is supplied and the administration of the course.

Both programmes enable students to receive tailored tutoring in small groups of up to 3 students per class. It is recommended that schools take advantage of both tutoring routes to get the most out of the recovery programme.Students who receive small group tuition may make, on average, 4 months of additional progress, and students who receive one-to-one tuition may make, on average, 5 months additional progress (read more here)

Spring, our tailor-made online teaching platform, creates an interactive and engaging learning environment for students. Tutors can share documents, videos, images, e-books and homework, and students are also provided with a learning hub filled with free, age-appropriate education tools to continue their progress outside of lessons.

Our Experience

Our parent organisation is based in Hong Kong, providing our team with almost two decades of ESOL/EAL experience. Our organisation has worked with numerous schools and NGOs to help students improve their skills in literacy (English and Chinese), numeracy, and science. Furthermore, our eLearning platforms have supported students at 250 schools this year alone. We are passionate about expanding access to high-quality tuition to students everywhere.

How does it work?

Connecting with us via the National Tutoring Programme enables schools to access additional government funding for tuition. On the Tuition Partner route, your school only pays for 30% of the tuition costs, making tailored support attainable for every child.

If your school is eligible for a School-Led Tutoring grant, you can also use this to fund tutoring with us, paying only 25% of the tuition costs.

When working with you, our organisation appoints a dedicated member of the Senior Leadership Team to act as your point of contact, creating a consistent and coherent support network and building strong relationships of trust and accountability. This person is available via phone, email or Zoom for discussions before, during and after tuition provision.
Our team begins by working with teachers to identify students who require additional support and establish the quantity and type of support they require. Our team works closely with schools at this stage and may request documents, such as school reports, examples of the students’ work or meetings with students, to establish their unique educational needs and circumstances.
Our team then works with teachers and students to create timetables and schedule online classes. We offer core-topic courses in English, Maths and Science(s) from Key Stage 1 - 4.
Our materials can also be tailored to provide individualised catch-up courses using a range of topics and levels to best suit your students.
Copies of students’ work with tutors’ comments are shared with schools in addition to the results of pre- and post-intervention academic assessments, and those of regular mid-block assessments.
Reviewing our provision both during and after delivery as a result of student outcomes as well as feedback from schools allows us to consistently achieve better outcomes and support student needs.
